Questions are welcome here. This is a safe space to be curious.
Think of this as the beginning of a conversation. These are the questions I hear most often – and I’m always happy to hear yours.
Where is your office located?
My office is located at:
1531 Corporate Way
Sacramento, CA 95831
I also offer online therapy for clients anywhere in California.
How does online therapy work?
Virtual counseling is effective for most individuals. You’ll need a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a webcam and a reliable internet connection. Simply find a private, comfortable space and use headphones if needed to maintain confidentiality.
Virtual therapy may not be recommended for individuals experiencing hallucinations, severe mental illness, serious substance abuse, persistent thoughts of self-harm, or active domestic violence situations. A thorough assessment during the initial consultation ensures virtual therapy is the right fit for you.
How long is a typical session?
Intake sessions are 1.5 hours long, giving us time to get to know each other thoroughly. Regular ongoing sessions are 1 hour.
What do I do to get started?
Schedule a free consultation – a 15– to 20–minute call to determine if we’re a good fit.
Appointment setup – once we connect, we’ll schedule your first full appointment.
Intake packet – you’ll receive a secure intake packet via our client portal to complete before your first session.
What is a free initial phone consultation?
I’ll reach out at an agreed-upon time to hear what you’re looking to work on. You can ask any questions you have about services, and I’ll share what to expect. It’s a low-pressure conversation – just a chance to see if we’re the right fit for each other.
What age range do you work with?
I work with individuals 16 years of age and older.
Do you work with men, women, couples, and adolescents?
Yes – I work with men, women, couples, families, and adolescents (16+). Whoever you are and whatever you’re carrying, you’re welcome here.
What is your educational background?
I have degrees in Social Work and Psychology, along with a Master’s in Counseling and School Counseling. My training spans individual therapy, couples work, and adolescent support.
Are you licensed?
Yes – I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.
Is your furniture comfortable?
I have a nice, comfortable leather couch with two huge soft throw blankets. Comfort matters.
Do I have to lie on a couch?
Only if you want to.
Should I wear waterproof mascara?
If you think it’s important, you are welcome to do so.
What brand of tissues do you offer?
Puffs.
Am I allowed to ask personal questions?
Yes. All questions may or may not be answered depending on their relevance – but you’re always welcome to ask.
Cats or dogs?
